Walmart Credit Card Review

I’m going to talk about the Walmart credit card. We’ve got Amazon credit cards, eBay credit cards, and Walmart credit cards specific to those stores. Of course, they’re credit cards, so you can use them anywhere, but you earn points and rewards back a little differently depending on which one you use and where you use it.

Now, let’s talk about the Walmart credit card. The Walmart credit card allows you to get 5% cash back that you can use on Walmart.com. So, if you purchase something on their website, you’ll get 5% cash back. However, if you have it delivered to a physical Walmart store and pay there, you’ll get 2% back.

The categories for rewards are typically 2% for gas and restaurants, and 1% on everything else. It’s still a 1% cash back card on everything you use.

Why would you use this card over an eBay card or an Amazon card? Well, if you shop a lot at Walmart.com and you’re getting things online, it might make sense for you to use this one.

Now, here’s an interesting hack. If you use their Walmart Pay feature to pay at the store for purchases, you’ll get 5% back for the first year. That’s a significant benefit. Here’s how it works:

They have a Walmart Pay app that you download, create an account, and link your Walmart credit card as the payment method. You can set up a four-digit pin or use fingerprint identification for security.

When you’re at a Walmart store, you scan your items, and a QR code appears on the screen. Open the Walmart Pay app, point it at the code, and it’ll read it. Then, select your Walmart credit card as the payment method.

For the first 12 months of having this card, you’ll get 5% back when you use Walmart Pay at the physical store. This can be quite substantial if you do a lot of shopping at Walmart.

Walmart offers a wide range of products, from school supplies to electronics, groceries, and more. Their online platform, Walmart.com, is continuously improving, offering a variety of products. So, if you shop at Walmart frequently, both in-store and online, this card could be a valuable addition to your rotation.

Take a look at the Walmart card, and consider it if you’re a regular Walmart shopper. You’ll enjoy 5% cash back on Walmart.com and 5% for the first year at Walmart stores by using Walmart Pay.
